Wet Dream | Evil Twin Brewing

Style: Brown Ale

ABV: 6.0%

Evil Twin's ''Wet Dream" claims to be lusty and incoherent, it absolutley holds to this not so bashful brown ale. With hints of coffee and notes of citrus, a provocative beer indeed. I typically dont go for brown style beers, I prefer the darker porter and stouts, but Evil Twin has always caught my eye. With their symmetrical and interesting style of canning as well as their even more interesting brews. I love coffee style beer and knew I needed to give this a taste. The aroma is a slight citrusy with a hint of roasted coffee, while the is a thick brown that you can almost see through in the right light. The head retention is solid, but mellows as it starts out with a tall, tan, and sticky foam head. You can see a small amount of carbonation coming from the bottom, but the clarity of the beer leaves you with that brown hue. At the head of the beer you get that almost smokey-citrus taste with a nice crisp-coffee finish; the backbone is a malty, dark profile that keeps these two tasting notes balanced. It leaves a slight mouthfeel of roasted coffee and malty goodness. I dig this take on a brown ale and say thanks to Evil Twin!
